If you're a Scandal fan like me, you're counting days until boss lady Olivia Pope returns Sept 25. While Kerry Washington's no-nonsense character takes center stage, her makeup is always understated.
Here's how to get her lit-from-within, no-makeup look in 5 steps using the Automatic Foundation Applicator from Color Me. Giving it a try? Share your no-makeup look on Facebook and Instagram using #ColorMeGirl.

Starting with a clean moisturized face, I'll select a creamy foundation that's color-matched to my jawline. I love the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer from NARS because it pumps up the glow without looking greasy. Black Opal's Even True Foundation does too.
I apply a coat to cover the full Color Me sponge, using the sponge for liquid foundation. Then I'll apply another large drop to the sponge.
Before turning on the device, I use it to dab the makeup onto my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. I then push the button to activate Color Me's pulsating motion, and start blending in sweeping motions. I can feel Color Me gently buffing the tinted moisturizer across my face.
Once my face is blended I continue buffing the makeup seamlessly along my jawline, neck and hairline. I also get my brow bone and eye lids for Kerry's bright-eyed look.
To mimic Kerry's matte-yet-glowing complexion, I want to set my face with a golden-toned matte powder. Here I'm using Make Up For Ever Super Matte Loose Powder in shade 52. Taking my Color Me device, I pop off the liquid foundation sponge and attach the velvety powder sponge.
I'm going to push the button so my Color Me device is pulsating as it picks up the loose powder. I pick up the powder directly from the jar, then tap off the excess.
I take the pulsating device to my cheek and start blending in sweeping motions. From there, I reapply more powder and repeat, setting my full face. The device is setting the powder in place immediately (I don't know if you can tell, but it's not flying everywhere).
With my complexion done, I'll use Color Me to add a matte peachy flush to the apples of my cheeks, then blend. The Sculpting Blush from Make Up For Ever is a good one.
Finish the look with a neutral peachy lip and a swipe of mascara, and voila! Ready for a day at the office (or a presidential tryst).
